On the Docking between the Professional Development of College English Teachers and Professional Training Modes in Higher Vocational Colleges

The development of higher vocational education makes higher demands on the college English teachers.The teachers who only have the pure English language teaching are unable to meet the requirements of higher vocational English teaching,so the teachers' professional development has become a topic of concern.Through the interviews with the college English teachers in our college and part of other higher vocational colleges about the current status of their professional development,it is found that the teachers' lacking professional development brings a lot of adverse effects on the cultivation of the students' English language ability for different professionals.This paper explores the effective ways of linking the professional development of college English teachers with professional training modes.
