Abstract

Objective To study the effect of betaloc in the treatment of chronic heart failure. Methods 66 patients were divided into two groups: treatment group and control group. The patients in treatment group were treated with common therapy combining with betaloc for six months. Before and after treatment, clinical symptoms, heart rate, blood pressure, NYHA class were observed and evaluated. Results Comparing treatment group with control group, the effect in decreasing heart rate and improving NYHA was better. The effective rate was 91.2% and 71.8% respectively. The effective rate showed apparent difference between two groups (P0.01). Conclusion Betaloc is effective and safe in CHF patients.
