Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effects of early enteral nutrition on acute cerebral stroke patients with dysphagia. Methods: 62 patients were randomly divided into two groups. The study group(n=31)was treated with enteral nutritional emulsion of Fresubin, while the control group(n=31)was treated with homogenate suspension of nutrients mixture for 30 days. The clinical parameters related to nutrient and immune situation and the adverse reactions were recorded and compared between two groups. Results: BMI,skinfold thickness, and arm muscle circumference in study group were significantly different from the control group(P0.05).The hemoglobin, serum albumin, prealbumin, and total lymphocyte count had a statistical difference(P0.05) between groups. The adverse reactions were less observed in the enteral nutrition group. Conclusion: Early enteral nutrition support can improve the nutritional status with less adverse reactions in acute cerebral stroke patients with dysphagia.
