Abstract
The effects of Thallium at different concentration(0.01-2.00 mg/L) were studied on seed germination, root length, content of chlorophyll, and soluble sugar of Pakchoi (Brassica chinensis L.). The results showed that the concentration of Thallium at 0.01-2.00 mg/L had no remarkable influence on the seed germination of Pakchoi, but the concentration at 0.50-2.00 mg/L had significant inhibitory effects on the seed roots, which would be weak gradually.Along with the increase of the Thallium concentration, the content of chlorophyll of Pakchoi was stimulated at 1.00 mg/L level, however,It was restrained at 2.00 mg/L level. At the same time, the content of soluble sugar declined.
