Analysis on breakout of billet continuous casting and counter measures

Abstract

The present paper analyzes the causes to breakout of the continuous casting machine in the No.1 Steel-making Plant of Rizhao Iron Steel Co.,Ltd.,including the equipment,process parameters,compositions of molten steel,mould powder performance and operating condition.The corresponding measures have been taken and good effect achieved,and the average breakout rate of caster has been reduced to below 0.3%.
