Abstract
Objectives To investigate the expressions of BCRP,HIF-1α and HER-2 and their correlation in invasive ductal carcinoma of breast,so as to elucidate their relationship with breast cancer clinicoPathologic Parameters. Methods Expressions of BCRP,HIF-1α and HER-2 were detected in 75 cases of breast cancer tissue and 15 cases of normal tissue with ElivisionTMplus immunohistochemistry. Results (1)The positive expression rate of BCRP,HIF-1a and HER-2 was respectively 41.3%(31/75),61.3%(46/75)and 26.7%(20/75).The positive rate of BCRP was 13.3% (2/15) in normal tissue, while no expression of HIF-1α and HER-2 was observed.(2)Expression of BCRP was correlated with expression of HIF-1α(r=0.205,P=0.011),and expression of HIF-1α was correlated with expression of HER-2(r=0.349,P=0.000),whereas there was no corelation between BCRP and HER-2(r=0.155,P=0.059).(3)The expression levels of BCRP didn't correlate with clinical pathologic parameters.HIF-1α and HER-2 were significantly correlated with the clinical TNM stage and lymph node status, while had no correlation with age, tumor size and the status of ER and PR.Conclusions It suggests that the expression of BCRP is related to the primary multidrug resistance of breast carcinoma tissues and HIF-1α may be involved in the regulatory mechanism of BCRP gene, and HER-2 may play a role in MDR.Detecting the expression of the three genes prior to chemotherapy would provide evidence for the selection of drugs and for the judgement of the prognosis.
