In the late Qing Dynasty,encountering the social reality of domestic trouble and foreign invasion,many people with lofty ideals proposed for the purpose of political reforms to the transformation of social programs.SHEN Jia-ben's concept of legal education was unique.The advocacy of his legal education mainly reflected in four aspects of learning the advanced Western philosophy,respecting the legal traditions of China,running school at multi-levels and attaching importance on the education role of prisons.
