Abstract
Foreign language teaching follows the transplant of western legal education system to China.Since the Japanese academic system is mainly copied in the later Qing Dynasty,English and Japanese became the major languages in legal foreign language teaching,which then develops its own features.In the new legal education of the later Qing Dynasty,the combination of foreign language teaching and western legal courses accelerate the spread of western legal culture in China,and promote the modernization of legal education and legal system of the country.
