Clinical Research of Lifeirunchang Powder In Treating 72 Cases of Patients With Senile Constipation due to Deficiency of Qi and Blood

Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Lifeirunchang Powder(It's a kind of demulcent) on patients with senile constipation due to deficiency of qi(vital energy) and blood.Methods:128 patients with senile constipation due to deficiency of qi and blood between age 57 and 82 were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group and contrast group.72 patients in the treatment group took Lifeirunchang Powder while 56 patients in the contrast group took Maren Pill.Ten days as a course of treatment,the evaluation of the clinical efficacy of the two groups was concluded after two courses of treatment.Results:The effective rates of the treatment group and the contrast group were 90% and 76.8% respectively,that is an obvious difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Liferrunchang Power is both effective and economical in treating patients with senile constipation due to deficiency of qi and blood.
