Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of early enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition on the nutritional status of ICU patients with severe traumatic brain injury and complications. Methods A hospital in June 2012- 120 cases of ICU patients with severe traumatic brain injury admitted in June 2014,were randomly divided into control group and observation group,60 cases in each group. The control group received early parenteral nutrition support, observation group received early enteral nutrition compared two groups of patients nutritional status and occurrence of complications. Results One week after admission, blood test found the observation group were total protein( TP) and albumin( ALB) levels were( 37. 69 ± 6. 28) g / L,( 72. 83 ± 8. 20) g / L,significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Treatment of complications occurred during the observation group was 15%,the control group was 41. 67%. The difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion ICU patients with severe traumatic brain injury early enteral nutrition can improve their nutritional status and reduce the incidence of complications, have clinical value.
