Abstract
This paper studies the petrographic facies, electrofacies and seismic facies of the Jurassic fan delta system in Chepaizi area, northwest margin of Junggar basin, and classifies sedimentary microfacies. The study indicates that this fan delta system is characterized by near-source, coarse grain, high accumulation rate, and various petrographic and seismic facies. The sedimentary pattern and forming conditions of lithologic traps in the fan delta are analyzed. The result of this study may guide subtle reservoir exploration in this area.
