Abstract
Objective To study the effect on the abortion outcomes about adding misoprostol after routine medical abortion. Methods 300 early pregnant women were divided into study group and control group.150 patients were treated with Misoprostol 600 μg after 6 hours of routine medical abortion with Misoprostol in the study group while other 150 patients were given no other medicine. Results There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05) on the complete abortion rate that it was 97.33% in study group and 88.67% in control group. The mean durations of vaginal bleeding was(8.8±4.1)-day in study group and(15.8±5.2)-day in control group. There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).There was no difference on the adverse reactions between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The complete abortion rate was increased and the mean duration of vaginal bleeding was shortened by adding Misoprostol after medical abortion and meanwhile the adverse reaction was unchanged. It was worth generalizing of medical abortion.
