Analysis of Affecting Factor of Settlement Coefficient for Subgrade on Soft Soil Base

Abstract

According to the actual problems of the settlement calculation of the subgrade on the soft soil base,an experience method,commonly used in the highway engineering,is discussed.The influence of the embankment filling height,base treatment method,filling construction rate,and geology conditions on the settlement coefficient is analyzed;and calculation model of the comprehensive settlement coefficient is presented,which has instructive meaning to ensure the subgrade engineering qualities on the soft soil base.
