Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical features and pathological types of biopsy-proven kidney diseases. Methods 843 cases of patients with renal biopsy in our hospital were enrolled in this study.Their clinical features and pathological types were retrospectively analyzed. Results Among the 843 patients,698 patients were Han nationality,143 patients were Hui nationality and 2 patients were Manchu.Their average ages were 36.0±13.5 years old.Primary glomerular diseases was of the most frequent type(79.8%),followed by secondary glomerular diseases(18.5%),tubulointerstitial diseases(0.6%) and hereditary nephropathies(2.0%).IgA nephropathy(IgAN) accounting for 53.0%,was the most common form of primary glomerular diseases.Henoeh-Schonlein purpura nephritis, accounting for 46.2%,was the most common form of secondary glomerular diseases. The age of patients with Hui nationality at the time of renal biopsy was signi?cantly lower than that of patients with Han nationality(P0.05),and males were dominant in patients with Hui nationality.Young men were the most common patients both in patients with primary glomerular diseases and secondary glomerular diseases. The proportion of juvenile in group of secondary glomerular diseases was significantly higher than that in group of primary glomerular diseases. There were no significant difference in gender between primary glomerular diseases and secondary glomerular diseases. Conclusion Primary glomerular diseases are the most common histological types in NingXia Hui Autonomous Region and IgA nephropathy(IgAN) is the most common form of primary glomerular diseases.Henoeh-Schonlein purpura nephritis is the most common form of secondary glomerular diseases.Young men are more inclined to suffer from both primary glomerular diseases and secondary glomerular diseases. The pathological type in juvenile with renal biopsy is mainly the secondary glomerular diseases.Patients with Hui nationality, who received renal biopsy, are male-dominated and younger than patients with Han nationality.
