Marriage is the main approach by which people can promote their social and political status and improve the cultural and economical environment.It is also the approach to changing their destiny for women.The women in the Han Dynasty could marry into monarch's families or local distinguished families.And they were also relatively free to divorce and remarry,which enabled the married women to change their destiny again.More than that,these women also exerted influence on the national politics as relatives of emperors on the side of their mother or wife.
