New Model of American Teacher Education and its Inspiration for Teacher Education in China

American Professional Development Schools(PDS) is a new teacher training model,which is established through strengthening primary and secondary school and university partnerships,co-training teachers,carrying out cooperative research.It has made accomplishment in promoting teachers' professional education,and has important implications to our teacher education.Combining the characteristics and development trend of teacher education reform in our country,we should draw on experience of PDS for reference in practice and in theory,which is consistent with international trends in teacher education reform,also the general development direction of teacher education in our country.
