Abstract
The AVL BOOST software to creat a model of a 12-cylinder medium-speed diesel engine is used. The actual working process of the diesel engine was simulated, and analyzed engine performance parameters under different compression ratio and Miller timing. The results show that the model is accurate, and the result is reliable. The higher compression ratio will improve engine combustion performance and economic performance.Miller cycle engine has a good performance on reducing NOx emission.
