Observation of 36 hysteromyomas treated with self-curing knife

Objective To explore the therapeutical effects of treating hysteromyomas with radiofrequency self-curing knife.Methods 36 patients with hysteromyoma were treated with self-curing knife.After operation they were given preventive measures to keep off infections for 3~5 days and a follow-up of 3~6 months was ordered.Results 58 myomas were found in association with the 36 cases of hysteromyoma.53 out of 58 were cured and the cure rate accounted for 91.4%.5 cases improved and the improvement rate was 8.6%.No complications occurred.Conclusion This surgical procedure is safe and easy to operate.The patient has no need of narcosis.The operative duration is short.There is less bleeding with sure effective outcome.No interference with endocrine function occurs.So it is an appropriate choice to treat hysteromyomas with self-curing knife when it comes to operative microtrauma treatment of hysteromyoma.
