Clinical Presentation and Pathologic Feature of Patients with IgA Nephropathy

Abstract

Objective:To follow-up and analyse 50 cases with IgA nephropathy(IgAN) in our hospital in recent ten years.Methods: Their renal pathological features and clinical presentations were analysed. Results: The incidence of recurrent gross hematuria was the highest. The incidence rate of malignant hypertension as first presentation in youth and adult patients was higher. Higher incidences of nephropathic syndrome and acute renal failure were found in elder group. Conclusions: It is necessary to carry out the renal biopsy in recurrent gross hematuria cases. If IgA nephropathy is found, the patients specially the children,must be followed up.
