An Investigation into the Altruistic Motivation of Middle School Students

Goal: to investigate the status quo of the altruistic motivation of middle school students and its influencing factors.Approach: making use of the altruistic motivation inventory of Egoism and Altruism to perform a public-opinion poll among 334 middle school students in Guangzhou.Result: low-level altruistic motivation of Egoism and high-level altruistic motivation of Altruism,and such factors as gender,student cadre have nothing to do with the altruistic motivation of Egoism while such factors as student leader,grade and parents' jobs have something remarkable to do with the altruistic motivation of Altruism.
