Abstract

Objective To discuss the precaution and nursing strategy of urinary retention after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization. Methods 80 patients of hepatoma which accepted transcatheter arterial chemoembolization were divided into two groups:experimental group and compared group. Experimental group contained 50 patients, which were given nursing intervention such as specialized healthy education, toilet training on the bed, and so on. Compared group contained 50 patients, which were only given routine healthy education. The patients occurred urinary retention after the operation were adopted psychological training and listening lotic water, chirapsia, perineal douche, and so on, to induce urination. Results Urinary retention were occurred in 2/50 cases of experimental group after the operation, while it was 6/30 in compared group, It had significant difference between the two groups. After the psychological training and relative process, 8 cases of urinary retention smoothly relieved it. Conclusion The nursing strategy such as specialized healthy education, enhancing and fulfilling toilet training on the bed before operation, can decease the happen of urinary retention, the psychological training and relative process after the operation can also relieve urinary retention effectively.
