Design and Planning of the Relics Park of Ancient City Wall of Zhaoqing:A Perspective of Medium Measure

Relics protection and demonstration are a new topic of heritage protection in China and even in the world.The related ideas,designing methods and practice about the relics park are still at a primary stage.Lots of problems have aroused in planning and designing of such park.For instance,the cultural connotation of the park was not obviously expressed and it was excessively used,its landscape construction violated the historical authenticity.Therefore,it is extremely necessary to research the planning and designing methods of the relics park.In order to highlight its two special characteristics:the specific region attribute and the historical culture attribute,in the planning and designing research,the Song City Wall Relics Park of Zhaoqing is divided into five dimensions and three levels.It is considered that the construction of the park would have great effect on improving the living standard of the people of Zhaoqing,beautifying the city,and promoting the urban grade.In the mesoscopic plan and design of the park in Duanzhou District the following phases are shown:1) the entity protection of historical ruins and the demonstration of cultural and historical information are enhanced;2) more attention is paid to the cultural value and cultural policy-decision of the historical environment of the Song City Wall Relics Park,cultural economy and people's livelihood issues are emphasized;3) the protection of the ancient wall is extended,a new connotation of the protection is given,and the dynamic balance of ecological system is emphasized;4) the design of the park is adapted to the development of modern city construction and the development of tourism.
