Abstract

Objective To investigate the incidence of fatty liver in health examination subjects, and determine its relationships with blood lipids, body mass index(BMI),blood glucose, sex and age. Methods 2 984 subjects were examined, fatty liver were diagnosed by B-ultrasonography and divided into low-grade group, middle and high-grade group, including the measurement of the level of serum cholesterol(TC),serum total triglycerides(TG),blood glucose,BMI,and analysed the morbility of fatty liver by age and gender and the association between different factors and fatty liver. Results ①There were significant correlations between fatter liver and increased TG,blood glucose,BMI,especially in middle-level and high-level fatty liver(P﹤0.01),but no significant correlation between fatty liver and increased TC.②It was obvious that the morbility of fatty liver was higher in males than females(32.0%;9.9%,P0.01),especially in middle-level and high-level fatty liver(P﹤0.01).③The incidence of fatty liver was related with age(P0.01) and it significantly increases after 30 years old(P0.01),especially highest in a group of from 61 years old to 70 years old. Conclusion The incidence of fatty liver is rather high, associated with serum lipid levels,BMI,blood glucose, gender, age.
