The experience in the diagnosis of appendicitis by combining high frequency with low frequency ultrasound

Objective To investigate the characteristics of appendicitis with high frequency color Doppler ultrasound(HFCDUS).Methods The HFCDUS features of 60 patients with appendicitis were retrospectively analyzed and correlated with postoperative pathological findings.Results There were acute simple appendicitis(38 cases),acute suppurative appendicitis(5 cases),acute perforated appendicitis complicated with gangrene(8 cases) including of peri-appendiceal abscess(5 cases),chronic appendicitis(3 cases) and miss diagnosis(6 cases).54 cases of 60 patients were detected with HFCDUS(90%).Conclusion HFCDUS is very important in the diagnosis of appendicitis,which very effentive in the clinical treatment.
