Abstract

With the application of GIS technology in each field,GIS software with different functions were formed on the basis of the close contact between GIS technology and continuous development of the express,disposal,analysis and application measures of geographic space information.The application direction and development situation of GIS were analyzed.The development trend and application fields of GIS in the further were described.Three new technological innovation models of GIS were introduced,including technology-driven,demand-pull and mixed type.The important ways to promote GIS innovation were that introducing other technology and deepening the application.
