Abstract
To investigate the distribution of ABCA1 gene R1587K polymorphism in the Han population and the Zhuang national minority in Guangxi China.The polymorphism of ABCA1 gene R1587K was determined by PCR-RFLP in 184 students including 84 healthy Zhuang people and 100 healthy Han people,χ2 test was used to compare the genotype and allele frequencies of Han population and the Zhuang national minority and Chinese population with those of other ethnic populations.The allele frequency of ABCA1 gene R1587K in Han population was as follows:ηR=0.475,ηK=0.525.The genotype frequency were as follows:ηRR=0.19,ηRK=0.57,ηKK=0.24;The allele frequency of the Zhuang national minority was as follows:ηR=0.411,ηK=0.589,and the genotype frequency was as follows:ηRR=0.25,ηRK=0.32,ηKK=0.43;No significant difference was found in the frequency of ABCA1 gene R1587K genotype between Han population and Zhuang national minority in China.(P0.05);No significant difference was found in the frequency of ABCA1 gene R1587K alleles between Han population and Zhuang national minority in China(P0.05).The frequency of ABCA1 gene R1587K genotype in Han population show no difference in comparison with from that of Zhuang national minority in Guangxi Autonomous Region of China,but significant differences is found when compared with different from Japanese or European population.
