Abstract
Seeds of Poa pratensis L.were cultured under 12 h L + 12 h D photoperiod in different seasons in MS medium supplemented with different sucrose concentrations to induce callus differentiation.Culture in the dark gave higher induction rate(55.6%) than 12 h L + 12 h D photoperiod(38.1%).A sucrose concentration of 30 or 15 g/L gave satisfactory results, the callus induction rate being(62.5%) and 58.3%,respectively.Culture in spring, summer or autumn was suitable while culture in winter was not.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
