Abstract
Activated carbon fiber(ACF) is used to treat fluoride-containing waste-water.Adsorption isotherm and dynamic adsorption breakthrough curve are determined. The effects of factors such as pH,amount of ACF,the prime concentration of and adsorption time on adsorption efficiency have been studied. It has been found that maximum adsorption of fluoride from waste-water takes place at pH value of 6.5 and 60 minutes of adsorption time.ACF regenerated by NaOH of 0.01-0.05% conc.has not much difference in adsorption efficiency after cycles.Adsorption rate of ACF for fluoride is fast and regeneration is simple.
