THE RESEARCH ON SUFFIX[·tsη]子 OF XIANGYIN DIALECT IN HUNAN PROVINCE

There are a good many words added Suffix[·ts] in Xiangyin dialect of Hunan Province. The ideogram [·ts] has four phonetic forms: [ts],[·ts],[·li] and [?鬗e45]. A word added Suffix [·ts]can be a two—syllabled, three—syllabled even four-syllabled word. And the grammatical meaning of the Suffix [·ts]includes formationing a new word, changing lexical meaning, indicating the meaning of “small/little”, and so forth. It will show the grammatical feature of xiangyin dialect that we research the phonetic form and grammatical function of Suffix[·ts]。
