THE QUANTITATIVE IDENTIFICATION OF SEDIMENTARY MICROFACIES OF CONGLOMERATE RESERVOIR

Abstract

The conventional way to identify sedimentary microfacies is mainly depending on sedimentary characteristics and well logging data to determine and divide well by well and interval by interval.Aiming at Badaowan heavy oil reservoir,Midwest Block II,Karamay Oilfield,based on the comprehensive analysis of sedimentary microfacies and lithofacies,as well as reservoir characteristics,the proluvial fan facies is identified and divided,according to quantitative lithology analysis,finely quantitative division of conglomerate heavy oil reservoir microfacies is carried out,the difference of lithologic and physical properties among the sand-bodies of conglomerate oil reservoir microfacies is presented,the sedimentary model of mid-proluvial fan is summarized,the distribution law of the microfacies and lithofacies on plane is studied,geological data base of different sedimentary micro facies-lithofacies reservoirs are established,it is indicated that braided channel course sandstone in mid fan and braided channel fine sandstone are the main oil-bearing sand bodies.
