Observation of Huazhuo Qinggan decoction on the treatment of fatty liver

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of Huazhuo Qinggan decoction on the treatment of fatty liver. Methods 118 patients with fatty liver were randomly divided into two groups. In treatment group patients (n=78) were treated by Huazhuo Qinggan decoction. In control group (n=40) patients were treated by Duoxikang. The therapeutic course was 3 months in both groups. Results The total effective rate in treatment group (76.9%,) were significantly higher than that in control group (60.0%, P0.05). There was a significant difference in the levels of TC, TG, HDL and LDL between pre- and post-treatment in treatment group (P0.01). There was only a significant difference in the level s o f TC, and LDL between pre- and post-treatment in control group (P0.01). Conclusion Huazhuo Qinggan decoction could produce a definite effect on fatty liver.
