Abstract
Objective:Edaravone is evaluated its protective effect through observing expression of Caspase-3.Methods:42 wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, sham operation group, saline control group and Edaravone treatment group.Saline control group and Edaravone treatment group were divided into 6 h、24 h、48 h.The expression of Caspase-3 was investigated by Immuno-histochemistry technique. Results:There was almost no expression of Caspase-3 in sham operation group. The expression of Caspase-3 in saline control group increased in 6 h and reached peak in 24 hours and continued to 48 h.Compared with that in saline control group, the expression of Caspase-3 in Edaravone treatment group obviously reduced(P0.01).Conclusion:Edaravone could reduce the expression of Caspase-3 and protect the brain.
