Abstract
The grapefruit juice contains many furanocoumarins, especially 6',7'-DHB and its analogues, which can inhibit the cytochrome P450 drug metabolizing enzyme (CYP3A4) and result in increasing the oral bioavailability of certain drugs or preventing the activation of carcinogens. In this article, the recent development of categories, activities, separation and synthesis of furanocoumarin were reviewed.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
