Abstract

Objective To study the immunophenotypic features of Ph Chromosome positive(Ph +) adult B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL).Methods Morphologic/cytochemistric,immunophenotypic and cytogenetic(MIC) examinations were preformed in 78 previously untreated adult B-ALL.Results The 25 patients(32 1%) were Ph + among 78 patients. The 14 patients was myeloid associated antigen(CD13,CD33) positive among 25 patients with Ph + B-ALL.The myeloid antigen expression was higher in Ph + cases than Ph - B-ALL.There were no difference in the expression of CD34 or T lymphoid antigen between Ph + and Ph - B-ALL.Conclusion Patients with adult Ph + B-ALL are usually myeloid antigen?CD34 expression. The myloid antigen expression is maybe associated with Ph + in adult B-ALL.
