Abstract
Effect of solution treatment and aging treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-Cu-Li-Zr alloy containing Sc was investigated by observation of microstructure and tensile test at room temperature. The results show that increasing solution temperature or prolonging solution time properly can improve strength and plasticity of the alloy. The favourable solution-aging treatment for the alloy is solution treated at 530 ℃ for 1 h,followed by water quenching and then aging at 160 ℃ for 40 h.Under this condition, the tensile strength, the yield strength and the elongation of the alloy are 490 MPa,416 MPa and 9.8%,respectively.The main strengthening phase of the alloy is T1 phase.
