Homologous culture of calligraphy and painting is vital issue in Chinese traditional art.There are two classes of contents:firstly,Chinese character and painting have the similarities origin;secondly,the expression form in both calligraphy and painting,especially the use of the ink that has a common law.For Chinese painting,particularly in freehand brushwork painting,the full use of calligraphy ink is indispensable to create images and express artistic conception.Calligraphic written patternsis the basic painting language of freehand drawing,so it is hardly perfect Chinese painting without the technique of calligraphy.
