Abstract
The adsortion of cadmium ions in Ca-bentonite and Na-modified bentonite was studied by isothermal adsorption method.Those results were compared with the adsorption of cadmium ions in soil,and shown that Na-modified bentonite has a high affinity for cadmium ions,it can be used to remedy heavy metal contaminated soils.pH value is an important factor to for affecting adsorption.
