Abstract

Objective To study the expression and significance of p53 and EGFR in breast invasive ductal carcinoma tissue. Methods The expression of p53 and EGFR was detected in 30 cases of normal breast tissue and 160 cases of breast invasive ductal carcinoma by using immunohistochemistry. Results The positive expression rate of p53 and EGFR were statistically significant between the tissues of normal breast and breast invasive ductal carcinoma(P0.01).p53 and EGFR protein expression were related to histological grade of breast invasive ductal carcinoma, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis. Conclusion p53 and EGFR play a certain role in the development of breast invasive ductal carcinoma. The experiment may provide a theoretical foundation for clinical therapy of breast invasive ductal carcinoma.
