Abstract
Jing Zhuan Shi Ci,all together ten volumes,was written by Wang Yinzhi in the Qing Dynasty.The book represents the highest level of function word research by traditional exegesis.After its being finished,the book was praised highly.Many book reviewers thought of it as an unprecedented book in the Qing Dynasty.Through a careful exploration of the word item Yi(以) in Jing Zhuan Shi Ci,the writer tries to know Wang Yinzhi's method of scholarly pursuing and at the same time finds out its defects.In addition,the writer elaborates emphatically the origin of function words and their meanings and on the basis of it makes arrangement of its meaning system.
