Abstract
News is one of the main targets of critical discourse analysis,and intertextuality theory is an effective tool to reveal the hidden ideology in the news.This paper gives a critically comparative analysis to English news discourse and its Chinese version,using intertextuality by Fairclough,with the purpose of revealing the complex relationship between intertextuality,power and ideology and ideological diversity caused by the translator during the process of news translation.
