Interpretation of Discourse Intertextuality in News Headlines:A CDA Perspective

Abstract

Intertextuality is a crucial concept in critical discourse analysis(CDA),which points to the manner of discourse practice in the order of discourse and that of restructure in discourse practice.This paper,based on a three-dimensional framework of CDA,firstly describes the linguistic features of discourse intertextuality in headlines,then interprets the mechanisms of producing discourse intertextuality and its cognition,and finally explains the relationship between discourse intertextuality and implication of social ideology in sociocultural practice.
