Analysis the curative effect of spinal tuberculosis with short-course chemotherapy and removing lesion of tuberculosis and bone graft with internal fixation at one stage

Objective To explore the clinical effect for the treatment of thoracic and lumbar tuberculosis with shortcourse chemotherapy and removing lesion of tuberculosis and bone graft with internal fixation at one stage. Methods 70 patients with thoracic and lumbar tuberculosis were treated with short-course chemotherapy and removing lesion of tuberculosis and bone graft and internal fixation. Results All patients were followed up for 1 ~ 5( 3. 5 ± 0. 8) years. Bone graft obtained fusion,correction of deformity was satisfactory,and nerve symptom improved. Conclusions Removal lesion of tuberculosis is the main method for the treatment of spinal vertebra tuberculosis. On the basis of short-course chemotherapy and the operation,internal fixation can increase stability of the spine,improve the rate of bony union and obtain satisfactory correction for deformity,which is safe and reliable at one stage.
