Abstract

The core of philosophical wisdom of Laozi lies in the principle of governing the country.In his philosophy system,he not only advanced the idea that the highest ideal of governing the country consisted in inaction(meaning letting things take their own way),but also made the specific plan about the strategy of governing the country.This paper discusses the understanding of Taoism,the origin of the philosophy of Laozi and the cause for his retreat from the perspective of his true intention so that we can know the true philosophy of Laozi.
