Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the Polygonum cuspidatum extract on CCl4-induced acute liver injury in mice.METHODS CCl4-induced acute liver injury model in mice, determine serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),liver superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity and malondialdehyde(MDA) content in liver tissue.RESULTS CCl4-induced acute liver injury model in mice, serum ALT,AST was significantly increased, liver SOD activity was significantly decreased,MDA content was significantly higher(P0.01);Polygonum cuspidatum extract significantly decreased serum ALT,AST improve liver SOD activity and lower MDA content in liver tissue(P0.01).CONCLUSION Polygonum cuspidatum extract has the role of reducing enzyme and antioxidant,on CCl4-induced acute liver injury in mice has a protective effect.
