Abstract
For the sake of verifying the reliability of new typed helical drum transmission used in the silt coal loading machine of mine sump,the finite element analytical software ANSYS was applied to carrying out rigidity and strength analysis on the feeding mechanism of helical drum.And in accordance with the result of analysis the optimization design was carried out on the structure of helical drum,thus greatly lightened the total mass of the entire feeding mechanism of helical drum and raised the service performance of the whole machine.
