Efficacy of arthroscopic debridement combined with hyaluronate sodium intraarticular injection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in aged patients

[Objective]To investigate the efficacy and outcome of knee osteoarthritis by arthroscopic arthro-scopic debridement combined with hyaluronate sodium intraarticular injection. [Methods]86 aged patients with knee osteoarthritis were divided into two groups randomly, each group with 43 patients. Arthroscopic debridement combined with hyaluronate sodium intraarticular injection was performed in the therapeutic group, and the control group with arthroscopic debridement only. [Results]The near future and long-term effective rate of therapeutic group were significantly higher than control group (both P 0.05), and no adverse reactions were observed in both groups. [Conclusion]As the treatment of osteoarthritis of knee arthroscopic surgery combined with hyaluronate sodium intraarticular injection showed the superiority to maintain normal function of knee and effectively relieve the pain. The therapeutic strategies is worthy of further application.
