Abstract

WO3 nanorods are synthesized with sodium tungstate and potassium sulphate in acid by the hydrothermal method. The samples are characterized by XRD,SEM,TEM and SAED.With the increment of the pH value and the reaction temperature,WO3 nanorods are obtained easily by the hydrothermal method.Crystal WO3 nanorods of less than 100nm in the diameter at 210℃ with pH=1.5 by the hydrothermal method. The crystal WO3 nanorods are homogeneous in the diameter. When it is less than the samples are characterized by UV-VIS,with the increment of the pH value and the reaction temperature, the absorbent power of ultraviolet light of WO3 synthesized by the hydrothermal method enhance gradually.Especially,Single crystal WO3 nanorods take on the good absorbent power of ultraviolet light.
