Determination of Chlorogenic Acid and Caffeic Acid in 11 Species of Taraxacum distributed in northeast China

Abstract

To determine the content of caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid in Taraxacum of different species,the fingerprints were obtained from Agilent 1100 series instrument.Chromatographic experiments were performed on a Diamonsil ODS-C18(250mm×4.6 mm,5μm) analytical column,eluted with methand and water,containing 0.5% acetic acid as the mobile phases in gradient elution at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1.The detection wavelength was 323nm.The temperature of column was 35℃.Results showed that chlorogenicacid Y=11892X+0.0291,r=0.9991,the average recovery was(n=6) 98.9%,RSD为1.53%.caffeic acid Y=17993X-4.6433,r=0.9996,the average recovery was(n=6)为99.5%,RSD为2.58%.There was grate variance in the content of Chlorogenic Acid and Caffeic Acid among different species of Taraxacum.The content of T.antungense Kitag.is the highest,while T.asiaticum Dahlst.is the lower than the standard of pharmacopeia which is not suitable for herb.To some extent this study can be used to control the quality of the different kinds of Taraxacum.
