Clinical observation of delayed traumatic intracranial hematoma of 28 cases

Objective To investigate the clinical curative effect of delayed traumatic intracranial hematoma and summarize the experience of diagnosis and treatment.Methods The clinical date of 28 cases of patients with delayed traumatic intracranial hematoma in department of neurosurgery of our hospital from 2009 to 2011 were analyzed retrospectively and the clinical curative effect was observed.Results Patients were assessed in accordance with the GCS score after treatment.17 cases had good curative effect.6 cases were in moderate disability.3 cases were in severe disability.2 patients died.Conclusion The disappearence of brain contusion and laceration and tamponade effect were as the main pathogenesis of delayed traumatic intracranial hematoma.CT was used to diagnosis and the operation was the choice for treatment.Early diagnosis and early operation were the key to the success of the treatment.
