Abstract

Objective To evaluate the significance of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody(anti CCP) in diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) by comparing rheumatoid factor(RF) with anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody(anti CCP).Methods ELISA was used to detect anti-CCP in 49 RA patients and 61 patients without RA,and the results were analyzed. Results Positive anti-CCP was found in 23 patients with RF and 2 patients without RA,the specificity of anti CCP was higher than that of RF,while its sensibility was lower than that of RF.Conclusion Anti CCP had high degree of specificity to RA,and anti CCP was very important in diagnosis of RA patients.
